    Xeomin

Being constantly "on" can be exhausting, and we get it! The physical signs of all your emotions that are etched into the lines in-between your brows, your crow's feet and smile lines aren't always the best look. Thankfully, we have neurotoxins that can relax those muscles from laughter to sadness so you don't need to be afraid of permanent expression marks! One popular choice is Xeomin which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

    Xeomin Overview

Reduce the physical signs of aging, fine lines, and wrinkles with Xeomin.

    What Xeomin does

Xeomin is a cosmetic injection that can be used to correct the frown lines between your eyebrows-crowsfeet, smile lines, and so much more! This treatment has become popular among those who have moderate or severe wrinkles in problem areas, and want improvement.

    How to prepare for Xeomin

You must be over 18 to receive injections. We cannot treat patients who are pregnant or nursing. You cannot be treated within 30 days of major dental surgery. We recommend not taking any blood thinners prior to treatment as this can promote bruising.

Neurotoxins may not be right for you if you’ve had recent surgical changes to your face, you have very weak muscles in the treatment area, you have a neurological disorder that affects the nerves & muscles in your face, or if you have an active infection in the desired treatment area.

    What to expect during Xeomin

Xeomin is administered by physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurse injectors. It can result in a visible reduction of muscle movement to the areas injected which creates a smoother appearance to the skin. We will schedule another appointment two weeks after treatment for you to assess your results.

    Postcare notes

    • Continue to move the muscles in the areas that were treated for the next two hours.
    • Do not massage or apply pressure to the treated area for at least 8 hours after treatment. We do not want the product to migrate to areas other than the ones being treated.
    • Do not wear a hat for several hours after injections.
    • Do not lie down for 3 hours after treatment. This could increase the changes of botox traveling to other areas.
    • Avoid vigorous exercise and yoga for at least 8 hours after treatment. You may return to your other normal daily activity immediately post treatment.
    • Avoid alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours after treatment. Alcohol can increase the chances of bruising and swelling.
    • If possible, avoid aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as Aleve, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Advil, St. John’s Wort) or high doses of Vitamin E supplements for 2-3 days prior to and after injections. Taking these will increase your chances of bruising.
    • If you experience a headache after treatment, we recommend you take Tylenol.
    • Bumps and areas of swelling usually go away within an hour. Bruises will resolve in about a week. There is occasionally some mild pain, swelling, itching, or redness at the site of injection. You may apply cold compresses or take acetaminophen/Tylenol to reduce swelling or discomfort.
    • You may gently apply makeup after your treatment.
    • In the very unlikely event that you have difficulty swallowing or breathing, go to your nearest emergency department and follow up with SpaDerma when your symptoms reside
